Multi Faith Forum

The Multi Faith Forum, an initiative of Councillor Brian P Sandler when he was Chairman of the Council and has now been adopted by One Epping Forest, the Epping Forest Local Strategic Partnership. It has been established in order to bring communities together and to encourage understanding, goodwill and friendship between different faiths and cultures. The LSP tackles issues for local people - such as crime, jobs, learning, health and housing - and requires that a range of local organisations work together. Formed in October 2002, the partnership's core membership represents the public sector, community and voluntary sector, faith community and local business, working together as a single body.
Terms of Reference
- Achieve the objectives identified by the Forum by devising targets that remain focused and are specific, measurable, appropriate, realistic and time limited (SMART).
- Identify barriers to achieving targets and possible solutions to overcoming these barriers.
- As organisations represented in the Forum are working in partnership to achieve these objectives, decisions are reached by a general consensus amongst the membership.
- Monitor and review progress on targets.
- Members to alert the Forum to any other matters of concern identified.

The membership of the Forum is determined by the Chair and members of the Forum and is as inclusive and diverse as possible.
